Do you on the one hand feel the desire to follow your inner voice and to bring out your potential more? And on the other hand, do you know the side of you that prefers to hold on to what you are used to out of fear or comfort, perhaps even suffering, instead of trusting in life?

In the 3-week morning challenge, “Awaken your Inner Hero”, you will experience how yoga can support you in nourishing your inner hero and thus bring about change in your life and live an authentic and fulfilled life.

The morning challenge is based on the “hero myth”, a classical narrative structure that is hidden behind many traditional heroine stories of this world. And we are also heroes on our own personal journey through life.

Every day we will flow through a varied vinyasa practice and use the practice to access our inner self. You will get in touch with your strengths and resources, as well as get to know your demonic parts that are standing in the way of your current change and transform them so that they may even support you in the future.

Each class is complemented by pranayama exercises, meditation or yin yoga postures. The class is suitable for all levels. Please bring a journal and pen.

Week 1 – Call to adventure

– Restorative practice, to perceive and accept support

Week 2 – Road of trials
– Getting to know the inner demon
– Intensive vinyasa practice to strengthen body and mind
– Breathing techniques to increase energy and stamina
– Yin yoga practice to integrate and transform emotions

Week 3 – Return and transformation
– Creative and playful practice to expand one’s own possibility space
– Ritual for symbolic transformation and renewal
– Sharing the “gift”
– Maitri meditation to strengthen compassion and connection

Shirin had her first yoga class more than 15 years ago in Thailand with an almost 90-year-old teacher who immediately infected her with her passion for yoga. Since then, yoga has become an integral part of her life. Her regular yoga practice supports Shirin to deal with everything that is opening up to her on the inside as well as on the outside. Also, it helps her to remain flexible in the constantly changing circumstances of the modern world. From 2017-2019, Shirin completed her yoga teacher training at Yoga Sky Berlin, with Detlev Alexander and Nancy Jovanovic as main teachers.

In addition to being a yogi, Shirin is also a certified Life Coach. Her knowledge and experience in Life Coaching greatly influence her yoga classes. Drawing from her coaching background, Shirin creates a supportive and empowering space for her students, encouraging them to explore not only the physical aspects of yoga but also to use the practice to learn something about themselves and cultivate a positive mindset.
