3-Week Morning Challenge: “Fascia Yoga – A playful and healing approach to enliven body and practice” with Valérie

The fascia holds many keys to knowing how your body works and what it needs, as well as how to better care for it: from mobility, to the immune system, emotional states and sensory perception. In fact, many restrictions, such as frozen shoulders or tight jaws and necks have to more to do with fascia than with muscles. Whilst other forms of yoga also help the body’s fascia, this approach is specifically designed for optimal fascial health.
In this 3-Week Morning Challenge you will learn about the nature and qualities of the fascia, and how it is connected to the energy body, be it chakras or meridians. You will move in specific ways to help you explore the unique fascial patterns of your body, and develop mini sequences to use in daily life, as well as variations for your regular yoga practice to help you keep your fascia healthy.
These three weeks are also an opportunity to inspire your practice as you learn to approach vinyasa and yin yoga from a personalised, playful angle.

Valerie Hartwich is passionate about helping people experience more awareness, joy and agency in their lives using yoga and massage. This passion first brought her to study psychology, sociology and political science. After working in PR and events in Paris and Rio, she turned her childhood passion into a full time career by retraining as a massage therapist and a yoga teacher after practising for 10 years. This gave her a wider toolset with which to empower people, and give them access to deep release, ease, and greater awareness of themselves. She teaches restorative yoga to wind down body and mind, yin yoga to release joints and fascia of built up tension, or a slower flow to grow strength and flexibility with awareness. Having had to care for her father as he struggled with dementia, she faced head on the challenge of how to take yoga off the mat. At the heart of her teaching is the dedication to find simple and effective tools to deal with the challenges that can arise in life. Students can expect dialogue, fun, attention to personal issues, as well as plenty of simple tools to use in daily life. And last but not least a great deal of care and kindness.
