Sofia started practicing kundalini yoga in 2009 during her pregnancy. She fell in love with the chanting meditations and awakened her body awareness, continuing to be amazed by the benefits of her weekly and then daily practice. Since then she has learned to play the gong, a sacred and ancient instrument, and uses it for healing and transformation in meditations and savasana. Since 2014 she is certified kundalini yoga teacher KRI/IKYTA 3HO.
Sofia is ready to share this ancient wisdom that is kundalini yoga, and practice with you what allowed her to be herself, aligned on her path, living her full potential.

Not only do we work to stretch, activate the body with Asanas but also the spirit, mind and soul are taken into consideration. Kundalini Yoga is like a magic tool box for Sofia in wich you can pick any kind of theme and work it out throughout the class.
Your own voice, is your instrument, thanks to Kundalini Yoga, Sofia started to be comfortable with her voice again and she wishes the same for all of you. The space given to the sacred sounds, with mantras is crucial and fully has its importance in the practice.
So be ready to jump, sing, smile, as well as honor silence and practice a lot with your eyes closed to dive deep into yourself. In Studio Sonne she plays the Gong for you during Savanna or for some specific meditation.
In a relaxed atmosphere and with humor Sofia manages to support you to strengthen your nervous system by going beyond where you thought your limits were and on the way release tensions. Usually students feel energized and go out of the studio with a smile for the day.

Sofia hat während ihrer Schwangerschaft 2009 angefangen regelmäßig Kundalini Yoga zu praktizieren. Seit 2014 ist sie zertifizierte Kundalini Yoga Lehrerin KRI/IKYTA 3HO. Diesen ganzen Weg hat sie in Berlin und auf Deutsch gemacht.
Kundalini Yoga ist für sie eine vollständige Art von Yoga, bei der man nicht nur den Körper wahrnimmt sondern auch die Seele, den Verstand und das Herz. Sie ist sehr dankbar für den Segen von Kundalini Yoga in ihrem Leben, weil es ihre Stimme befreit hat sowie wie ihr beigebracht hat ihre Gaben zu spüren und zu entwicklen. Sie wünscht sich genau das gleich für ihre Studenten, dass sie durch die Yogastunden mehr zu sich kommen können und spüren was gerade in ihnen los ist und erlebt werden will.
Wir singen und rezitieren Mantras, wir meditieren, wir bewegen uns, manchmal tanzen wir, es ist nie das gleiche. Oft gehen die Studenten voller Energie und mit einem friedlichen Lächeln im Gesicht aus der Klasse.

The gong impacts the body and its meridians. It releases blocks, reduces tension and stimulates circulation. The result of this is a reorganization of the emotional energy and feelings that are tied into the body structure.
We hold attitudes toward our bodies and ourselves. These attitudes are recorded by habitual body postures. If the energy changes or the posture changes, there is an often an intense useful emotional flow in the body. During a gong meditation or during the relaxation afterwards, some people may cry, feel weightless or laugh uncontrollably. Relax. The release of feelings is a normal process in Gong meditation.
The gong changes the feelings that are blocked by cutting the thoughts that sustain and recreate the feelings. As a person comes back to normal, they notice a great difference between their current bodily feelings and the ones they are used to. Regular practice of gong meditation accelerates the development of intuitive sensitivity and visualization.
As you listen to the gong’s sound, it will penetrate every cell and fiber of your body. Emotions and thoughts are provoked from the subconscious. The entire nervous system is put under a pressure to adjust and to heal itself. When that pressure builds, totally relax in the deepest meditation possible.
