Victorien started practicing yoga while working in the Parisian fashion world. Now, based in Berlin, he has decided to focus and deepen his knowledge through a vinyasa yoga teacher training. For him, yoga is a path to understanding oneself. It guides you to honour your body and your soul. By extending this understanding you will cultivate compassion for all other beings.

For many people, to refocus means to settle down. For me, it is more about feeling alive! Alive because when we get the body to move, we can feel our breath speeding up and slowing down, our muscles tensing and relaxing, our heart beating faster… we experience all these sensations “here and now”. Vinyasa flow is an energizing and graceful practice that strengthens the body and lets the energy, the so-called “prana” flow. Through the synchronisation of breath and movement, we can experience the body as a vehicle of energy. Flowing from one posture to another, the body can relax and receive everything that comes up: emotions, thoughts and movement. Being in the flow enables us to develop “bhava” – the conscious mind – and to become free from mind and body blocks. This practice brings us back to mobility, spontaneity; the joy of moving and living in our own body through a deeper knowledge of it.

As you soften into every posture, stretching the deeper yin tissues of the body, you observe the space that is created, allow whatever is happening and access a contemplative state of mind.
