“Like in nature, in winter we are dormant, resting. Our body and spirit are being charged up to awaken and arise in the spring. As the earth is waking up – we too awaken”

The season of new beginnings is upon us. With the arrival of Spring, we shift from the hibernation of the Winter months to an awakening, to a feeling of rebirth. Spring invites us to open back up, delight in warmer days, admire the blossoming trees and cultivate a spirit of aliveness. This season can often make us feel inspired and motivated to change our habits, to set new intentions, and to flower and blossom with the rhythm of nature.

During this 3-week morning challenge, “Awakening Into Spring” we will draw on the philosophy of the 5 element theory. The focus of this morning challenge will be on the wood element which is associated with Spring. The energy of wood provides the momentum to move forward providing us the vision and foresight, it gives us the connection to the future and allows us to plan and design in all areas of our lives. With this in mind, one class per week will be dedicated to our visions and dreams, we will explore this with some powerful experiential tools to help facilitate embodying our shifts. We will start using the potential energy we gathered in Winter and start taking action towards our visions, ideas and dreams.

This morning challenge will support our shift into this season, on a physical, mental and spiritual level, with a daily morning Yin/Yang yoga practice, combined with a Wuji meditation practice and theoretical explorations of Taoist philosophy and the Theory of the 5 Elements.

Victoria Simpson is originally from England, based in Berlin and returns to India year after year for spiritual encouragement. An insatiable thirst to explore and understand herself during her mid-twenties awoke her to broadening her Yoga practice and knowledge of the mind/body connection. She likes to bridge the gap between consciousness and science; Her teachings are inspired through spending time immersed in Eastern culture and philosophy but also her passion in neuroscience and anatomy. Much healing in her life came through community and safe spaces. With support she started to create a better relationship with herself and integrate her traumas. She believes safety and trust within ourselves, our relationships and our environment is one of the fundamental needs for us to live life to our full potential as human beings and that is why she encourages her students to become embodied and self aware. She has completed a 500-hour training in Akhanda Hatha Yoga, 150-hour training in Yin Yoga and Level 1&2 in Clinical Somatic Movement. Victoria feels incredibly blessed to have enjoyed the teachings and support of great and compassionate teachers and healers in all of her educations gaining many valuable techniques.
