Join our teachers Christian, Carrie, Jennifer and Alex for an intensive yoga weekend getaway to the beautiful Brandenburg countryside northeast of Berlin.
This year’s yoga retreat is dedicated to the Power of Change.
The ancient teachings of yoga tell us that nothing is permanent except for change. Yet they also tell us that there is an infinite and eternal part of ourselves that is unchanging, and that our connection to that is the key to happiness.
As summer transitions into autumn, this retreat will explore how yoga can help us maintain equanimity through internal and external shifts while also support proactive personal growth. Through asana, breath work, meditation, and philosophy talks, we will take time to explore and embrace the many paradoxes of yoga – for example cultivating gratitude for the way things are, meanwhile enabling transformation of body, mind and spirit.
About the place
Ponderosa is gorgeous and run by wonderful and friendly people! There are many volunteers helping, the place has it`s own rhythm and ideology. Find more information on their website.
We have booked two big dance studios in this beautiful space surrounded by nature. It will be amazing – with nice food and nature and space for breathing and creativity. And if we are lucky there are some spontaneous performances to visit.

How to get there
It takes about an hour and a half to drive there (depending on traffic). The train to Angermünde takes about an hour and leaves hourly. We will try to organize carsharing and train-groups, so you can share the petrol or you can buy a Brandenburg ticket together (29 Euro – 5 people). We will try to arrange a couple of Ruf-Taxis to correspond with the train arrival times at the train station in Angermünde.
It would be good if the group arrives around 16.30 on Friday, so there is time to show you around and to explain you the way of communication. We will stay on Sunday afternoon for an excursion, or a swim in the canal and leave Sunday early evening.
yellow yoga is a non-profit project and we do our best to offer the lowest price possible and we rely on the commitment of all participants. Reserving your space is binding and the retreat fee cannot be refunded in case of non-participation. If you need to cancel you have the option of organizing another yogi to take your place (fee 20,00 €). This option is only available up to 7 days before the retreat (replacements on such short notice means a lot of re-organisation of transport, invoices, accommodation, etc.).
The toilet/bathrooms are very simple at Ponderosa.
We would ask each of you to help the cooking team one time to prepare the food (cutting vegetables for half an hour for example). We all will clean our dishes after the meal ourselves. Karma yoga can be fun, too!
Please understand, that Ponderosa is not a hotel or a service provider – it is a self-organized artist space and we are guests there. Please adapt your communication and expectation to this situation.
Yellow yoga is looking forward to welcoming you in this beautiful place!
