5-day Summer Yoga Forest Retreat “Being at Home in the Body & in the World” in the Odenwald on the Nibelungen hiking trail with Valerie und Victoria
We invite you to our newborn yellow yoga community center in the Odenwald forest in the heart of Germany (about one hour away from Heidelberg) for a 5-day retreat with daily vinyasa, yin, restorative, faszien yoga, or breathing practice, kirtan, hiking excursions, massages, singing circles and gong meditations. Connect with your inner strength, with mother earth and your ancestors and open a room for your own transformation and self-healing.
About the yellow yoga „Gebhardshütte„
Hidden in the Odenwald forest directly on the hiking path Nibelungensteig the founder of yellow yoga Claudia and her family found a place that was previously a hiking hotel and restaurant called „Gebhardshütte“. This place has started to grow slowly but steadily since the last 2 years. It is located away from civilization with plenty of space in the garden, a large cozy farmer’s kitchen with a dining room for 28 people, several balconies, lovingly designed rooms and a yoga room for 16 yogis. The equipment is rather simple and authentic, do not expect it to be luxuriously perfect:) We collected vintage furniture and with little money and love made this place accessible to our community. Our retreats in the „Gebhardshütte“ are intended as community retreats based on karma yoga, i.e. we cook together and everyone helps out where they can. This allows us to enable longer retreats with more programs for as little money as possible.

Theme of the retreat:
This retreat is an exploration of what it means to be at home in our bodies and in the world. We will learn to listen to our individual bodies, as well as understand our shared physiological needs for safety, clarity and agency, and how to develop supportive self-care practices. We will make space to get clarity around the core values that guide each of us, so we help ourselves make decisions, take actions and enter interactions from a place that is true to who we are. And with this new understanding of self-care and a clearer compass, we will connect and engage with each other and the surrounding nature from a more grounded, and responsible place, for the greater good of all.Because, whilst it is useful to know how to retreat from the world at times, more than ever this world deserves and needs us to be in it, actively shaping its future. So let us retire from the world, to come back to it more firmly rooted, and with clearer hearts, bodies and minds.”
