
Life is resonance, an everchanging oscillation and vibration of subatomic waves rippling through space, emerging and dissolving into this dance we know as our universe. In every moment of life, we all ride these waves through our body, a living breathing organism of countless lifeforms like cells, atoms or neurons. When our body is out of tune with the fabric of existence, we feel restless, anxious or overwhelmed.
When we take time to center ourselves, to feel within, to touch our inner essence and to rest in stillness, we tune ourselves back into the fabric of existence, aligning us with the resonance of the universe thus allowing to feel the deeper connection underlying all of life with a more spacious, relaxed and clear state of being.
Ari Al-Shain was born and raised in Germany with family roots in and a continuing deep connection to Greece. After studying Media & Communication, he lived in Munich for 4 years before moving to his adopted home of Berlin in 2016. Ari has been practising meditation, yoga, pranayama and studying Southeast Asian philosophies since 2012. His focus is on inviting and cultivating a deep attunement to the resonance of life in our consciousness with the help of sounds, exploring our breath and sensing our body through gentle somatic movements and restorative yin yoga.
embodied breathwork & grounding sounds
Experience an actively guided embodied breathflow session that combines the ancient wisdom of yogic pranayama with modern science-proved breathing techniques, as well as somatic movement and nervous system regulation practices in order to bring the body, mind and heart into balance and create a grounded and relaxed, as well as energized and clear sense of presence. Tune into the ancient wisdom of mindful breathing and explore the power inherently stored in your body, activated through the most simple of acts: breathing. For an even deeper immersion we will use soundscapes from different traditional and modern instruments, first and foremost the Gong, as well as tibetan bowls, steel drums, chimes, wah-wah tubes & more to support and enhance these powerful techniques. To further enrich the experience, carefully selected essential oils – grounding earthy notes to foster stability, refreshing citrus to uplift and energize, or soothing florals to encourage inner peace – will be diffused throughout the space, creating an aromatic landscape designed to deepen relaxation, heighten clarity, and support emotional release. Through the synergy of breath, sound, and scent, you will experience a journey into a fully immersive state of spaciousness, harmony and renewal.
yin yoga & restorative sounds
This Yin practice explores the nuanced sensations of the body through slow, deep and mindful somatic movements to support blood flow, ease and relaxation of the targeted areas, opening up a deep experience of stretching, mobilizing and sensing the body through moving meditation as well as conscious stillness. We end each class with an extended meditation & savasana infused by resonant vibrations and soundscapes from a rotating selection of traditional and modern instruments, like tibetan singing bowls, steeldrum, tambura, chimes & nature inspired overtones, creating a unique atmosphere for experiencing deeper layers of awareness and relaxation.
