Rachell Clark is a Berlin-based Dance Artist and teacher.  Her curiosity in Yoga came from a search to find a practice that richly supplements the dancing body and since completing her Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga training at Samyak Yoga School in Kovalam India, Rachell continues to rigorously practice and educate herself. The combination of both dance and yoga has brought her to a deeper understanding of movement and functionalities of the body, and the power of mobilising the breath. Rachell is motivated by the connective possibilities of yoga and the community it builds.

ashtanga – en
This class is based on the tradition Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. Using the structure of the Primary Series we will move through Sun Salutations A & B,  standing and seated postures, inversions and backbends. I wish to find a smooth and peaceful momentum through the practice, to discover the potential for space and softness in the body, even when moving through challenging and vigorous asanas. Ujjayi breath, Bahnda practice and meditation will be integrated into the practice.

ashtanga inspired flow – en
This class is a dynamic sequence of Asana inspired by the Ashtanga Primary Series. In this early morning class you can expect Surya Namaskara A and B followed by a slightly more fluid and creative approach to the tradition Ashtanga practice. Our flow combines Asana from the ashtanga practice: standing postures, twists, forward and backward bends, inversions and pranayama to create warmth in the body, to allow intensive stretches while also building strength.
